Can Fresh Mozzarella be frozen?!

Question: Can Fresh Mozzarella be frozen?
I live alone and am disabled, with no car. I only grocery shop once a month except for bread and milk. I like to have fresh mozzarella on hand and like to buy it when it's on sale. (not the deli "balls" in water, the plastic wrapped, but fresh mozzarella. Is it possible to freeze it in "chunks" for use as needed? I hate the plastic tasting stuff. Does anyone know a way to keep it the longest ?

From my experience yes you can freeze just about everything except anything with carbonated water in it. If it fizzes it will explode in your freezer. I personally would love to know the brand of mozzarella cheese. I've always got the plastic tasting kind and I love making home made mozzarella sticks. But as far as I know you can freeze it without consequence. As long as you vacuum seal it. So no moisture is in the bag. Freezer burn ruins it but to prevent that just vacuum seal the bag and you should be good.

Yes, I've done it before with out any problems. As far as I know any soft cheese can be frozen.
