Why does the thought of eating make me wanna puke sometimes?!

Question: Why does the thought of eating make me wanna puke sometimes?
I've seen questions similar to this, but the asked was usually pregnant or had some type of eating disorder. I'm neither of those things, and I'm 16 years old, if that matters.

Is it weird though, that sometimes the thought of eating makes me want to puke? Like this morning for example, I made myself a bowl of cereal like normal. But after looking at it for moment, I gagged a little and ended up giving it to my sister.
This happens a lot (not always with my cereal though), and sometimes I'll eat the food even after I get that nauseous feeling, but usually I won't. I sometimes get the same sick feeling after I eat too, like I just want to puke it all back up. Is this normal?

Answers:

Hi Geli,

You may have eaten something in the past that didn't agree with you. I suggest you eat more raw foods for a little while. The vitamins and natural fiber in those foods may neutralize those nauseous feeling you are having. Worked for a relative of mine.

That happens to me sometimes too. Not often though. It usually only happens when it's milk related, like cereal, a pastry with creamy icing, or cheese, etc. Try keeping track of when this happens to you, and write down what food you were looking at when it happened. If there is a trend, stop eating those foods. It's your body's way of telling you that you don't need to be eating it.

mantras, anxiety.. etc

Definitely not normal. I suggest to bring this up with your Dr.
