Is "pocky" safe to eat?!

Question: Is "pocky" safe to eat?
I bought two packs of pocky at Wal-Mart - chocolate and strawberry - made by the Ezaki Glico company. Someone told me there was a melamine scare with some pocky back in 2008. So, just to be on the safe side, is the pocky I bought okay to eat?

Answers:

Yes, it's safe to eat. The melamine scare was in China, and Pocky is from Japan. And, anyway, it's been 3 years; it's extremely unlikely that they would be selling 3 year old food.

Eat it.
