What's the difference between Greek yogurt and ordinary plain yogurt?!

Question: What's the difference between Greek yogurt and ordinary plain yogurt?
Question says it all - what's the difference?

Answers:

Hi Anna, Greek yoghurt is just named after the style of making it in Greece. It is thicker and usually unsweetened so enabling it to be used in either savoury or ( with the addition of sugar ) sweet dishes. It is nice if you like it sweet - to sweeten it with runny honey and is also good in savoury dishes unsweetened such as curry, dips and fajitas and such types of dishes with the addition of chillies herbs etc..
I hope this helps, all the best. Rab

Greek yogurt is a whole milk yogurt that is thicker and creamier than ordinary yogurt. If you want to make regular yogurt have the texture of greek, you can place it in a cheesecloth lined strainer over a bowl in the refrigerator overnight (cover with plastic wrap). In the morning just discard the liquid in the bottom of the bowl and you will have a good approximation of greek yogurt in the strainer.

Greek yogurt is made from goat milk
Ordinary yogurt ismade from cows milk.
