Can I make dipping chocolate from a candy bar?!

Question: Can I make dipping chocolate from a candy bar?
I have some Hershey's special dark candy bars and want to know if I can use it to make dipping chocolate for pretzels, and if so, how?

Answers:

sure. use a double boiler-- boil water in a pot and then put the chocolate in another pot. put the pot with the chocolate into the boiling water so it gets hot and melts

Yes of course, I suggest using a hershey bar. Now for dipping chocolate you would have to temper the chocolate. That causes for checking all day long but the easiest way to temper chocolate is to put the amount of chocolate you desire in the microwave. Do not add anything to it though because then you would be making a gaunche. Hope this helps!!!!

I'm pretty sure you can, I don't see why you couldn't. Just put the Hershey bars into the microwave or on a stove and let them melt. If the flavor is too rich, you could try to add just a little bit of milk and then make sure it is mixed well.

Have fun! :D

if you have mars bars melt them in microwave for twenty secs add a splash of milk and stir then stick back in microwave and melt further. its awesome specially with ice cream

yes i tried it it before but i melted mine in the microwave and just add a little butter
