does it ever not feel like a burden to cook at home?!

Question: Does it ever not feel like a burden to cook at home?
and then clean up the big mess? How do you have time for much else?! Its so time consuming.

Answers:

Yes, it's called 'cooking for pleasure'

Also, if you are making a big mess, you are not exactly cooking efficiently! You should be cleaning as you finish each task so that you don't HAVE a big mess to clean up!

If I have a new recipe, or if it's 1 am and I can't sleep, so I start cooking and refridgerate/freeze what I cooked, and clean it up, because what else am I going to do?

It's not so bad if it's easy and I've already planned out what I'm going to eat for the week, and make enough for leftovers.

I know... that's why I'm turning myself into an android one day

there are also ''bothersome'' and ''lack of time'' or ''I don't have the energy to cook" or "I'm tired" or "ingredients missing, because the vegetables served are not fresh" or "a certain item/ingredient is currently unavailable at the moment you are trying to purchase'' or ''I didn't shop"

I enjoy cooking--it can be a social thing, or a form of therapy after a bad day. I find that when I'm having a rough time, baking cookies really helps. I also cook with family a lot, learning how to cook new things as well as simply spending some time together.

Having a dishwasher really helps with cleanup, as does picking up dirty dishes whenever there's a lull in cooking.

Of course it does! If you cook and you have a partner, definitely the person who cooks should have help cleaning up. If one has children, you've just got to lure them into the kitchen to teach them cooking can be fun. And BTW, circa 1542, Dr. Andrew Boorde wrote, "A good cook is a physician." Meaning eating healthful food makes one healthy.

I like to cook, so that part never feels like a burden.
Cleaning up sucks, but I have the rest of the family handle that part. It's only fair; they eat what I cook, they can deal with the mess it makes.

Try to cook easier meals that include one pan. Eating well and living a healthy lifestyle require home cooked meals.

I despise cooking=)

I have a personal chef!
