Does anyone else find it cheaper to eat take out than buying @ the grocery store?!

Question: Does anyone else find it cheaper to eat take out than buying @ the grocery store?
and eating at home?

Answers:

I understand completely, I guess it depends on the quality of food you prefer to eat. I have found myself spending $40 to $50 to cook a single meal that I probably could of got cheaper at a restaurant.

NO, its never cheaper eating out.

Eating in: rice, chickpeas, lentils, carrots, potatoes.
Bananas a few spices , herbs and oils- you can eat like a king for very very little.

I have a housekeeper/cook so I don't notice, but I also go out a lot. I would say it depends what your eating and if you can be bothered.
I live in the UK so things may be different anyway.

NO. You think you could get a whole box worth of mac n cheese for $.30???? No.

** It should NEVER cost more than $20 to make a meal for a family of 4. That's my philosophy. If it's costing you more, you're not doing something right...

no; almost never...and i eat out a LOT. You can buy Ramen noodles for like 33c, how can you beat that? It's also much healthier to avoid the fast food places.

Sometimes it really depends on were you shop and eat out at.
