Why did Nestle change its pronunciation?!

The company was started in Geneva in the French speaking part of Switzerland by a Mr Nestlé (pronounced the French way). The first Nestle products in the UK were tinned milk and since the name looked like the English word nestle, that's how we pronounced it. Now that more people take their holidays abroad and cars have silly foreign names, Mr Nestlé decided it's about time we grew up and pronounced his name properly.
It is a Swiss company and the "new" pronunciation sounds posher. It also doesn't sound like a cuddle. International company's have a problem with branding because of words meaning different things in other languages.

Nestlé is a french company, and all they've done is used the french pronunciation - not the accent over the é
Here in the US, its ALWAYS been pronounced "Neslays".
On all the cans of its products or written ads, there is a little accent mark over the last 'e' in the word.
It's always been the French way really but British people just pronounced it how it was spelt . I think it took them a long time to get us to start saying it their way .
