Is it odd that I get the hiccups when I eat pizza?!

Question: Is it odd that I get the hiccups when I eat pizza?
This has started happening in the past two years. I'm not afraid of pizza, so this is not a plausible reason for my hiccups. I don't shovel the pizza down like a Hoover and my hiccups go away after I finish eating the pizza. Also, I don't drink soda nor do I eat more than two slices, so I don't think this can be attributed to carbonated drinks or a large meal (because I just eat the pizza). Thus, I have absolutely no idea how this happens.

Answers:

Hiccups can be caused by spicy foods. If you are dousing the slices with a spicy hot sauce or extra hot red pepper flakes, that could be triggering the hiccups.

Uneven breathing can cause the hiccups too. If you are excited about eating the pizza you may literally forget to breath. The ingestion of food before/during/after can result in hiccups

Eating and drinking to much to quickly.
