safe and nasy foods for eating competition?!

Question: Safe and nasy foods for eating competition?
what are some good ideas for an eating competition. Nasty foods like snail, liver, spiders and so on...

Answers:

No, you'll have to bail on the spiders (you never know which are poisonous). Then, if someone dies, you'll have to go to prison...and then you talk about nasty food! Ok, so here's my list of "safe" but nasty tasting foods:

-Calves liver (raw)

-Balut (prounounced "Ball-oot") (These are partially formed chickens still in the shell. The bones, beak and all are edible. Yuck. You can buy these in Filipino markets (sometimes Asian markets).

-Sea Cucumber (A snail like creature. You can buy it raw or dried in Asian markets).

-Cow brains ("Cesos"-pronounced "Ses-os" in Spanish) (You can buy these in Latin markets)

-Pigs Feet (You can buy them pickled in many American markets or raw Asian or Latin markets)

-Limburger cheese (This cheese is not very popular because the smell will haunt you! It's a pretty stinky cheese. People either love it or hate it. You can buy it at most Amercian markets or a cheese shop specifically)

-Geoduck (pronounced "Goey-duck") or a Longneck Clam- This is a very strange and "phallic" clam comes from the waters of the Pacific Northwest I believe but I could be mistaken. You can buy these in Asian markets. It can be sliced very thin and eaten as Japanese sushi or cooked as in Chinese stirfry dishes.

-Octopus: Can be eaten raw or cooked. Can be purchased in Asian markets.

-Rock Mountain Oysters: These are ...uh...well Bull Testicles. Yep, and some Americans eat them raw or fry them up. Yes, seriously. I guess you could ask a butcher for them or go to an Amercian cattle ranch or a farm.

-Shrimp paste: This is a highly concentrated paste made of ground shrimp and salt....lots of salt. It is used to flavor various dishes. A little goes a lonnnnnng way.

-Wasabi paste: Japanese horseradish paste. This green paste is sure to sear your brain.

-Habanero (Scotch Bonnet peppers) chile sauce or Jamacian "Jerk" Sauce: This stuff is HOT!!!

-Poi: This is a Hawaiian food staple that comes in a paste form. It's made from Taro root. It doesn't really taste bad it's just super bland and it's really gloppy.

I'm a personal chef.

no foods are safe to eat for competitions... any food, even healthy ones can be harmful if over-consumed.

as for nasty food, that's personal opinion... many people like snails, liver, and even things like spiders in some countries.

the most nasty, freaky, disgusting food i have seen, is a food called Balut, which is a feritilized bird egg

maggot infested cheese.
cooked beetles.
bug candy
cheese flavor maggots. (hot topic)
grasshoppers. (alot of protien!)
worm juice.
cooked snails.
cooked pig liver.
cooked fish eyeballs.
cooked chicken feet.

I would have to say elephant balls would be pretty disgusting. I don't know if you can eat them, but I'm sure elephants have huge gross balls. Let me know if someone eats them please

Sorry if this is weird but you look a lot like my sister in your pic
