I just ate some crab legs that were exposed in the refrigerator...am I safe?!

Question: I just ate some crab legs that were exposed in the refrigerator...am I safe?
No sarcastic/cheeky/rude answers, or I will report.

So I just ate some crab legs that were exposed in the fridge (as in nothing was covering the crab legs). It was inside for about 24 hours. It tasted fine. It looked fine. But Im worried, since something important is coming up and I dont want to get food poisoning from that...

Answers:

Food poisoning occurs when you eat food contaminated with bacteria or other toxins. Symptoms include diarrhea, vomiting, and stomach cramps, and generally start 4 - 36 hours after eating contaminated food. While food poisoning is often caused by bacteria, it can also result from eating poisonous plants (some mushrooms, for instance) and animals (pufferfish).
The typical signs of food poisoning are nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramping, diarrhea, head or muscle aches, and fever. Specific bacteria may cause these signs and symptoms:

?Clostridium botulinum (C. botulinum, or botulism): weakness, blurred vision, sensitivity to light, double vision, paralyzed eye nerves, difficulty speaking and swallowing, paralysis that spreads downward, respiratory failure, death
?Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., and Campylobacter jejuni (C. jejuni): fever, chills, bloody diarrhea
?Escherichia coli (E. coli): hemorrhagic colitis (diarrhea with very little stool and large amounts of blood), occurring up to 3 days after eating contaminated food

It will no problem for you i am sure. 24 hours is not such a long time. Things generally get bad after 2-3 days and also if you had stored it in refrigerator you have nothing to worry.
Anyway good luck for you on your important event

TSS

If the crab legs were in the put fridge within 2 hours of being exposed outside of fridge, the
crab legs should be fine if they weren't covered.the only thing about not coving food in the fridge is,
the scents of other foods can sometimes effect the tastes of the uncovered food.
Hope this helps.
