How to distract myself from eating?!

Question: How to distract myself from eating?
I'm trying to lose 12 pounds and I have been exercising like playing football, basketball, running, etc.
but I am constantly stuffing food in my mouth so I'm gaining about 2 pounds a week.
I'm eating random foods (both healthy and unhealthy). My BMI is 20.0 (5'5 and 120 pounds) so I am not over weight but I have small bones so I look like I have more flab.
What are some physical activities that will keep me away from food? Or any regular activities?

Answers:

Its different for everyone but its always by doing something you like. You can play video games, go out with friends, exercise, play trivia games, pick up a new hobby, jam to music and much more. Me personally is when I'm with friends because I eat when I am bored and feeling lonely. If you can identify why you feel the need to over-eat you can solve your issue for good.

You have posted this in foods and drink, not in the correct category that would cover physical fitness.

To cover the food aspect of the part of your Q, it is controlling your food eating, and watch what foods you do eat.
When at home, ensure you don't have things to munch on, unless they are healthy for you.
It is a battle, but it is a matter of will-power to deny yourself.

My advice:

Brush your teeth when you want to eat something. It'll make things taste bad lol
Drink drinks like water, flavored water, diet drinks. It gives you a good taste without calories.
Chew Gum!
Sleep!
My moms friend says she folds clothes when she wants to eat just because shes bored

Good luck! :D

answer mine?

Sugar free chewing gum
drinking lots of water through out the day
take a hand full of carrots, they are VERY good for you, they have lots of vitamins in them. and hey it wouldn't be that out of range to get your self some fat free Ranch with it.

feeling 212 lbs. lighter

Chew gum and keep yourself busy.
