for me that is a tossup between rally's and mcdonald's.
You put five guys on the list without in n out? For straight fries I think in n out is the best but a lot of people disagree, but show me anything better than animal fries.
Besides they are made of real potatoes 5 minutes before you order them. Not 5 weeks then unfrozen.
The old fashion fish and chip shops who still peel, cut and make their own. They are the only ones I know of who cut them for decent sized chips don't have those fat absorbing things most chains seem to sell nowadays. We call them Shoestrings.
