Is it ok to use pancake mix that has been open for a couple months?!

Question: Is it ok to use pancake mix that has been open for a couple months?
I have a box of dry pancake mix in my cabinet that I was going to use to make biscuits. It is still within the expiration date, but it's been open in the cabinet for a couple months. Is it still ok to use? It doesn't smell funny or anything.

Answers:

sieve it first ,depending on the weather where ever you may be ,flour gets minute weevil eggs in it , they hatch in warm weather , this also happens in the supermarkets ,it is a constant head ache with any flour made product ,spaghetti , oats , all grains , etc. so the product will be o.k. but its best to sieve it for peace of mind

I've heard that there was a scare back a few years where some people used old pancake mix and the mold that grew in there (but couldn't be seen) made everyone sick. I would say that if it's been opened and exposed to air for a few months, I'd get rid of it.

Since it doesn't smell funny the only other thing I would check is whether it looks stale. If it's hardened or clumps I would not use it.

you should check the sell-by date and the reccomendations

Wat does it say on the packet??? it is provably ok to use just make sur you heat it fully

it should still be good i would still use it

I would use it.

as long as it is still good sure
