One sitting , yeah that's a bit of food.
For a whole day, no.
If you are a generally active and fit person 1600 Cal's a day might even be too little.
If you are on the heavier side, it sounds like a decent day's worth of food.
If it's really 1600 calories, and that seems awfully high to me, then for most people it's too much. I am 5'10" 200 lbs and on a cold day when I am physically active that might be just right for me. If you are lighter and not as active then it might be too much.
