What exactly is prune juice?!

Question: What exactly is prune juice?
If a prune is a dried plum then wouldn't it be plum juice? Prunes have no juice, do they?

Answers:

Prune is a specific type of plum which is dried. Prune juice is made by softening prunes through steaming and then putting them through a pulper to create a watery puree and prune juice actually contains dietary fiber. Prunes and prune juice are thus common home remedies for constipation. They also contain a high antioxident content.

My knowledge...

If you take prunes- dried plums, and soak them in water, leave them overnight, and don't skimp on the water- it can be six inches above the top level of the prunes- then the water turns into prune juice and it is sooooo goodo!!

Prunes are very sugary, with great raw natural sweetness.
Your prune juice is so rich in iron and goodness. It tastes fantastic and the best thing is, the prunes themself are nicer than dried prunes to eat, because they're soft and sweet and plump.

Prunes are really uncommon in USA< but I grew up eating them and I love them, I mush prefer them stewed in water , you don't need sugar or anything0 the juice that the stewed prunes makes is so sweet and rich.

Idk. Processed prunes? Maybe it's like, they put prunes through a high power blender and then strain it. Or maybe it is plum juice and people who call it prune juice are idiots.

Basically just Prune juice, lol. It helps smooth poop, or help with constipation. Sorry if this is nasty but thats what it is lol.

no it doesnt have juice.. but it can be a prune juice if you placed the prunes in a blender and add water and sugar... = prune juice
