Is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches considered junk food?!

Question: Is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches considered junk food?
I gave up junk food as a New years resolution--and I want to know if a PB&J sandwich (with jif peanut butter and smuckers jelly) is considered junk food?

Answers:

with those products, YES

but with natural PB and low sugared jelly and whole wheat or whole grain bread it can be pretty nutritional.

It can be a great food to eat, it depends on what kind of peanut butter, jelly and bread you use. The peanut butter has to be natural, the natural kind which is usually requires some stirring. Just get fruit jelly, with no added sugar. Whole wheat bread too, with no corn syrup added (or whatever they call it these days). Check your ingredients.

I believe it is not, the peanutbutter is probably the only kind of "good" fat that you can eat, and the jelly provides a sweet and tasty fruit snack.

No, not junk food. A PBJ isn't the healthiest sandwich in the world, but it has some solid nutritional value. Whole grain bread would be best, but even on white bread it's not quite junk food.

no! the bread is a good source of wheat which is really good for you and the jelly is a good source for nutritional fruit.

No! It is comfort food.
And anything in moderation is fine.

i dont think any kind of sandwich is junk food
