Dragonfruit question..?!

I've always wanted to know what dragon fruit tastes like, so recently I went to Whole Foods and bought one. I'm not sure if it was ripe or anything but it was kind of soft and the inside was white like usual with the small black dots. When I ate it, it really had no taste to me at all. It was just kind of creamy but not really, idk really hard to explain. I was disappointed so I'm wondering if I just got a bad one or if anyone else thinks they have no taste.
