What is a melting agent?!
I want to melt carmal in this apple dipper thing i got but the directions say i need a melting agent what is it? Help?

they probably mean a container/bowl that you can either microwave or use as a double boiler. If you have a bowl that is OK with heat, you can put it over a pan of boiling water, not letting the water touch the bowl, for creating a double boiler, to melt your caramel.
Something to melt it in.
