It's probably not solar powered, but there is a Sunbeam brand of coffee maker.

Take the glass coffee pot out, and fill the pot with the amount of water that you ultimately want to become coffee.

There will be a lid at the top of the coffee maker. Flip the lid open or remove it, and pour in the water. Put the lid back on, and put the pot back underneath where it belongs.

There will also be a basket that swings out or slides out, just above the pot. Open that, and see if there is a built-in metal mesh filter there. If not, you need to put a paper coffee filter there. Put the appropriate amount of ground coffee into the filter. (I would start with one small scoop per mug of coffee, then adjust up or down with experience.) Close the basket.

Turn the power switch on. If it doesn't start making coffee in 30 seconds, look for another button that says START or BREW or something, and push it.

Have no fear, it's impossible to do lasting damage.

all coffee machines work the same but some add steps.

put water in the reseviour (its not the pitcher or carrafe but someplace in the back with a latch.)

put the filter in and then the right amount of grounds in.
