Question: Food that has no relation what so ever to the sun?
my biology teacher challenged us to come up with one food item eaten by humans that does not come from the sun or contain ingredients that comes from the sun, or is an animal that eats plants that come from the sun. Help please?

Mushrooms, they grow in the dark!!!

Impossible since without the sun the Earth would not exist. So the existence of any food is the direct result of the sun existing and allowing the Earth to support life.

Search for fishes that live in the bottom of the oceans. Also, plans from the oceans or caves. Look also for food made by the places where is 6 months day and 6 months night. They should produce something in the 6 months of night

Well the chinese people eat "swallows nest soup" which is made from swallows nest. Please read the following link... (but mushrooms is a very good answer as well. )
