Question: If GERD is not affected by acidic foods, or acid/alkaline balance. Why do they sell very expensive acid reduc?
I'm confused. People have replied that acididy/alkaline has nothing to do with GERD. But if that is true why do they sell very expensive acid-reducing drugs like Prilosec to treat it?

I always thought GERD was acid reflux ,therefore reducing the acid in acid reflux would reduce the reflux..... makes sense to me ... Although eating a certain amount 0r small amount of acid containing foods may not be the cause the acid reflux itself may still be a problem
