What is the average shelf life of canned goods and other items?!

Question: What is the average shelf life of canned goods and other items?

I was just wondering how long canned meats, fruits and veggies can last. Could they last over 20 years in the right conditions do you think? And I was also wondering about shampoo, conditioner, soap...could they last over 20 years? Just a random thing I was thinking about today...

canned goods are good for an eternity but im not sure if shampoo can actually go bad
