What is the difference between eating pancakes/waffles for breakfast or pasta? I don't get it?!

Question: What is the difference between eating pancakes/waffles for breakfast or pasta? I don't get it?
I don't like breakfast foods... I would much rather have leftovers from dinner for breakfast but I've had so many people tell me that it isn't healthy to eat "Dinner Food" for breakfast.

What do people eat in the morning? Pancakes (Carboloading) syrup (Corn Syrup) butter (Fat) Orange Juice (Sugar) sausage/bacon (Fat with some protein and salt)

That seems pretty damn unhealthy to me...

I'd rather have angle hair pasta with spinach, onions, garlic, tomatoes, sauteed in some olive oil and some parmesan cheese.

At least mine has vegetables!

So who is right?

you can eat what ever you like for breakfast.
Ever read the Little House books series?
In Farmer Boy(if these books are even half true) apple pie had a place at the breakfast table now and then.
Eat what you wish.
Tell others why say its wrong to call the breakfast police....

Your right. As long as you are following a healthy diet, and are including the proper amounts from all the food groups, and staying away from the things that are less healthy, your body will not care where it's energy is coming from. A calorie is a calorie, a protein is a protein, and so on. I agree with you, I really am no fan of the conventional breakfast foods so I will often have rather odd things to eat in the morning.

You are! There is nothing wrong with eating leftover dinner for breakfast, in fact, that is my preference too!

Even if you eat a cold steak or leftover pizza, at least you are eating it at the start of your day and not right before going to bed.

I follow the old adage that you should eat breakfast like a King, lunch like a Prince, and dinner like a Pauper. In other words, you should consume the most calories in the morning. To your point too: sometimes leftovers have complex carbs and vegetables! Much better than a stack of pancakes with bacon and eggs!

it doesn't matter what you eat for breakfast as long as you eat something. it could be cereal or left over dinner. i eat what ever i can find sometimes i eat eggs for breakfast and sometimes i have left over dinner. its actually healthier to eat something for breakfast then to skip breakfast all together

I agree with you! I eat whatever I want. Food's food! It all goes to the same place, i.e. stomach. The Portugese eat bread, cheese, and prezunto (thin, dried ham). I don't require a traditional breakfast, either!

There is nothing wrong with it. And breakfast doesn't Have to be pancakes and waffles.

On occasion I have left overs for brekfast, or even soup.

A few carbs are good, but having protien and whole grains is best.

its tradition.

i LOVE cold pizza for breakfast, but many people think its odd. as long as you are getting good nutrition, the form doesn't really matter.

you are right. they dont sound too smart. there is absolutely no reason why eating non traditionl breakfast foods is bad.

Do what ever you like.=)
