I reject your question. Mac and cheese is delicious in its many forms.

The boxed stuff is quick and easy for kids or college students.

You can make your own with different types of cheeses and pasta, you can even spice it up a bit.
When you do that, M&C is awesome.

It's delicious, but definitely ghetto.

I think Kraft mac and cheese is ghetto. Homemade mac and cheese is awesome!

I'm middle aged and solidly middle class and I think the stuff is awesome with or without stuff in it. I don't consider it to be ghetto at all.
