Question: What other pop or Kool Aid flavors go well with root beer?

Every once in a while I don't get enough water, so I suffer from dry mouth. I've been mixing up a combination of strawberry soda, cherry coke and black cherry kool aid to extend the life of the two liter bottles my husband buys. Recently he came home with a large bottle of root beer and I'm wondering what I should mix with it to make it last longer. I am thinking of Sierra Mist (the soft drink), but I don't know. The coke products are stronger and over powering. I need a subtle, secondary flavor. What would you suggest?

Answers:

I get why mixing soda with Kool-Aid would be cost-effective, since Kool-Aid is somewhat cheaper than soda, but why would you mix root beer with another soda? If you're going to buy another soda like Sierra Mist, couldn't you just buy more root beer?

Also, why aren't you getting enough water? Can't you just drink more water?
