Eating Fish without Gutting it?!

Question: Eating Fish without Gutting it?
I'm wondering if it would pose any health risks?

I'm going to cook it but I'd like to know how all of the fish tastes, not just the meat, except the scales of course. I've got some fish scaled and I'm still deciding whether to gut it or not.

Wouldn't cooking it just kill any harmful bacteria left in the guts?

Answers:

When in service during WW2 Pacific, it was a common method for the natives in some areas to just throw fish in hot oil, without any preparation, and eat. So I guess since they didn't have any ill effects, it was Ok. ( I tried some and it was tasty)

If your starving..anything might be OK..
Since it takes about 2-minutes to clean a fish--that is just to be thrown on a fire--
Clean the darn thing.
