Nutella, is it okay to eat for breakfast?!

Question: Nutella, is it okay to eat for breakfast?
I know this sounds weird but I was thinking about doing my own diet. For breakfast I was thinking of making a protien shake with one piece of whole wheat bread and 1/2 tbs of nutella spread on it. Than for lunch another shake with and small salad. Dinner anything but in small moderation. I will also be walking 1 mile a day. I was thinking the nutella in the morning to get my chocolate craving out of the way so I'm not craving sweets later on in the day. Honestly, does this seem dumb?

It depends upon you if you like it.

Half a tablespoon, or even a whole one, of Nutella shouldn't have a big impact on your diet. That would equal 50 or 100 (whole table spoon) calories. So, it's very little, really. If it prevents you from binging on other sources of chocolate later, I would say it's a good start of the day. Just make sure the rest of your diet is balanced.

No, this isn't dumb, but I wouldn't eat it every day. I'd much rather eat an entire tablespoon or two once or twice a week rather than every day of the week. It's much more satisfying in my opinion. Just make sure you're getting enough nutrients-- protein isn't the only necessary nutrient ! Make sure you're getting enough fiber, calcium, vitamins, etc.

I think its fine for breakfast. It has a little cocoa in it, but so do a lot of other breakfast things (not saying they are good for you, just saying it's done)

and honestly, the first time I ever saw nutella was in Europe being served like peanut butter at breakfast.

It's okay as long as you're an active person. Nutella is like peanut butter and has a lot of fat and calories.

In moderation, yes. I actually prefer it on toast as a dessert after dinner.

Try it out and see how things go.

No, I eat Nutella like everyday. LOL
