How do you thaw soup frozen in plastic container?!

Question: How do you thaw soup frozen in plastic container?
Okay, so I have some Panera Bread reheatable soup, and it's packaged in a plastic container. Unfortunately, it managed to end up getting frozen solid IN the container, and I can't find a way to get it out, and I fear trying to heat it up while it's stuck the the container will just result in the plastic melting.

Thanks bros.

Answers:

run hot water on the plastic container, then you should be able to dump it into a bowl. You could also just try ripping apart the bowl itself if it's just flimsy plastic.

uhmm doo nott put it in the microwave or oven! that can deff melt the plastic! if you have a cap or dont, it doesnt make a big deal, put warm- hot water in the sink and put it in that, it should thaw it saftely without melting anything! it isnt as fast thoo, soo if you want fast, i recommended puttin the soup around a wet paper towel for more moisture, it may hlep ?

The best way would be in the fridge but if time is a factor, place the container in a bowl of very hot water and shortly it will thaw enough to dump it out of the plastic into a pan or microwave safe dish so you can finish thawing/heating it.

Best thing to do is soak it in cold water because heat causes the plastic to release a carcinogen - chemical associated with cancer.

What ever you do do not microwave plastic containers.

Take the lid off and nuke it. It should be fine.
