Should I be disgusted about finding a baby chick in my farm fresh egg?!

Question: Should I be disgusted about finding a baby chick in my farm fresh egg?
It's not like I'm unaware that this is likely to happen when cooking with farm fresh eggs, but 20 minutes ago I was beating two eggs in a bowl to make an omelet and within the egg mixture I saw a tiny little pink speck, I pinched it with my fingers, took it out, and looked at it under the light. It was soft and gooey, yet, I still proceeded making the omelet and was very delicious afterwards. Will I be ok if one day this happens again and I ingest it without knowing? Should I be grossed out by this? One other thing, these eggs are picked by hand from my Mother's chicken coop

Answers:

It is perfectly fine to eat a fertilized chicken egg. As you said, you saw a pink speck, not a baby chick in the egg mixture. Once an egg is refrigerated, there is no growth whatsoever of the embryo. You are very fortunate to be able to eat eggs directly from Mom's chicken coop!

No, don't be disgusted about finding a baby chick in the eggs it's a normal thing. Just before cooking the eggs you have to check them separately and then beat them together.
