what mexican candy has lead in it.?!
i'm doing a science project and i wanted to know what kind of mexican candy has lead in it and i was also wandering how to test if it has lead i would love to know thanks.

Try to look for candy that has Tamarind in it because i heard it had lead in it, but i'm not sure.

I know you can buy lead testing kits at the store - to use with plates and things to see if the glazes contain unsafe lead levels. Maybe these would somehow work for you? Also, we live near Mexico and lots of Mexican candies are sold here. I remember hearing about a lead problem, but I thought it was in the paper the candies were wrapped in...which then caused a problem with the candies. Good luck. I always loved science fair projects!
