Outback Steak House Aussie fries with ranch dressing
(Aussie Fries topped with melted Monterey Jack, Cheddar, bits of fresh chopped bacon and served with a spicy ranch dressing)

A fish and chip place in Crescent Beach BC that I had lunch at one day, while working out there, had fries to die for. Have never had occasion to go back there but I still dream of those fries. Homemade, perfectly crispy. Thanks for reminding me. I'll be close to there in a month or so and might just see if the place is still there but I'll be very disappointed if they now make fries just like everyone else's.

In Austria. This is not a food snob thing. I was a military brat. Small town gasthauses would have these twice fried french fries (pommes frites) that you should eat with a fork. They were both creamy and crunchy and awesome with ketchup. A childhood memory still quite intact.
McDonald's has the best fast food french fries. For a restaurant that's not a chain, there's a place in Massachusetts called 'Oliver's.' I love their french fries the best.
Mcdonald's fries are shitty but the fries at Dairy Queen are awesome :D
