Why do people eat Fugu (puffer fish)?!

Question: Why do people eat Fugu (puffer fish)?
Why would someone eat something that could possibly kill them? Does it really taste THAT good? Or do most people just get a rush from the "danger"?

Would you ever eat it?

I eat it while playing russian roulette and walking a tight rope

Considering Fugu doesn't really have a distinct taste and it is lethal if it's not prepared correctly... It's like bungee jumping. If not done right, you die. But people still do that right? Everyone has their own reasons to try anything and those reasons differ person to person.

Would I? Yes and no. Yes, I want to try it to see what the big deal is about it and no because I have terrible luck. hahaha

I gotta agree with melody. I think its all about the rush.
Would I try it....... yes and no
Where I live no way in hell would I eat it. But if I was in Cali or Japan and someone else was paying for it I would love to be able to say I've tryed it.

Because it is part of their culture. You don't actually eat the poison......... And it is actually for medical reasons as well.

They're starving and wanna eat something

I wouldnt! I believe that some ppl enjoy exotic foods, even if it is dangerous.

Because it tastes good and it's exotic
