Of course you can freeze bread (try shopping for one- you'll have a go at freezing anything once, if it means you cut down on the amount of food you end up throwing out). Im no brain of britain so i can't explain why it doesnt go mouldy in the freezer, but freezing was developed as a method of preservation, so go figure. If you divide your loaf into a few "portions", you only have to take out and defrost what you need for that day or so, it wont have chance to go mouldy.
When I get back from the grocery store I put all my bread into the freezer and keep it there for a couple of months. It freezes solid so it does not mold in the freezer. I take it out slice by slice and let it set out for a few minutes while it gets soft again.
Maybe the big bang theory people were saying they left their stuff in the referigerator so long that it molded....that's a joke.
when it's in the freezer it doesn't go mouldy,
i don't know about when you take it out though. My family do this all the time we buy about four loafs of bread and put three in the freezer, you can keep them in there for ages and they're fine to eat when you defrost them.
hope this helps :)
I'm not sure as 2 why, but yea that is true
If bread sits out in the house moist can get into the bread, its warmer in the house
Verses if you put the bread in the Freezer, it stays fresh, dnt over freeze it though
Actually it is a trust worry source a lot things on that show is true
As for your question it does slow down molding but it does not have to be in your freezer you can put it in your fridge
it stops it moulding for a while but if your to just lets say keep it there for a week or 2 it is bound to get some sort of mold on it.
have been freezing bread for a long time.
I keep my bread in the fridge and it keeps it ok for a good length of time.
However at work we freeze it and it seems to go mouldy quite soon after being defrosted ~ next day or so!
Well organisms of that variety cannot grow in temps below 40 degress F so....

I don't know about the mouldy, but I can't imagine it freezes that well. Stick it in the fridge
