Pasta of any type using jar sauce is usually less expensive that making the sauce. I use different type of Pasta and everyone thinks it wonderful. Kraft Mac & Cheese is probably the cheapest way to go with it. Then have a vegetable or salad.

Been cooking/baking about 50 years and helped get a grandson through college with food plans and care packages

I totally understand, I've had to budget with food many times.

If you're in the mood for indian food or a curry, a bag of frozen peas is usually less than a dollar, and a bag of potatoes will last for a few recipes. Then get some instant rice (will be enough for several meals because there are usually about 4 bags in the box) and an inexpensive jar of curry sauce. Just boil the potatoes (peeled and chopped) and peas then drain the water and add the curry sauce....serve it with instant rice, it's really cheap.

Ramen noodles can get boring, but if you eat the beef ones, try sprucing them up by scrambling an egg and putting it in the noodles with some red pepper flakes for spice....or just simple frozen peas will make it more interesting.

This is also an easy cheap thing I do a lot= put some sort of bread on a pizza pan (sliced bread or english muffins) then mix up some tuna, mayo, and lemon juice. Put a few spoonfuls of the mixture on the bread and some shredded cheddar cheese on top. just pop it under the broiler for literally 1 minute, and it will heat and brown really quickly. Watch it or it'll burn.

All I can think of at the moment that is unique enough that other people won't repeat the same stuff.

Ok get about 3 loaves of french br3bread on the reduced section. Large jar of pizza sauce, 1 lb mozzarella and what ever else you like on you pizza. Serves 6 for less than $10
boil chicken pieces I like legs and thighs save the broth and some of ht meat for soup or dumpling Make chicken salad from some of the meat or chicken spaghetti.
Make a large meatloaf couple lbs ground chuck, eggs, cracker crumbs onions peppers, 2 bottles of ketchup. You can have meat loaf and baked potato, meat loaf sandwiches, meatloaf over spaghetti with some sauce added.
Some cheap flour tortillas, to make wraps of lunch meat lettuce and mayo or sour cream and texmex with cheese, left over meat with lettuce cheese and salsa there are endless combinations!

Well in utah a box of spaghetti noodles costs like a dollar and that would serve 5 or 6 people. And the sauce is only 80 cents. Also, frozen burritos. Instant potatoes are 88 cents. Umm hot dogs are like less than a dollar usually. And buns are only a dollar ish. You could also add cheese to your ramen noodles that makes them better. I would definately buy a bunch of noodles and a bunch of sauce like alfredo. Also, me and my boyfriend lived off of sandwiches for a while. Cheese. Ham. Bread. Mayo or just peanut butter jelly. :)

Boyfriend spends all my money on herb as well now i have hardly any money for groceries. :p

McDonalds! Old Country Buffet! Some dollar stores have pasta... Or maybe you could get a job at olive garden and then you would get free or discounted pasta!

Buy some Hungry man meals or Banquet meals they have lots of variety.

I just know
