Where can i learn more about herbs/spices and how to use them?!

Question: Where can i learn more about herbs/spices and how to use them?
as a little background - basically i made turkey tacos from a new recipe the other day, and i was really surprised that a little cayenne cumin, cilantro and lime could make something that tastes really good. It was the first time i'd used cumin, i haven't used spices in cooking much before.

So i want to find out info about which herbs/spices go best with which food and how best to use them. I think theres a world of flavours out there that i'm missing out on! Does any one know a website or something that could help me start this? I'm an enthusiastic beginner cook!

A book I bought last year has a section on herbs and spices: Cooking Basics for Dummies (available through Borders, B&N, or Amazon).

This also explains basic cooking techniques and recipes.

Some sites you might want to look into: wwwfoodnetwork.com and www.cookingchanneltv.com. Plenty of videos and recipes to get you started.

This is an excellent resource
