When a food is covered with yogurt...?!


Question: When a food is covered with yogurt...?
Like yogurt covered dried fruit...or Chex mix...what do they do to the yogurt...like dry it out or something?
Haha...the things I wonder...

I definitely agree with the previous poster about the "yogurt" on foods like that being just candy coatings but wanted to add this:

"While yogurt itself is an extremely nutrient-dense, healthy snack, beware of yogurt covered raisins, pretzels, and nuts. The main ingredients in the “yogurt” coating are sugar and palm kernel oil, NOT yogurt. As a result, the calories, fat and saturated fat grams really add up AND you do not benefit from the calcium and potassium that you get from real yogurt."

In reality, "yogurt" covered foods are only candy covered. These are not health foods in any way.
