am I the only one who can taste the difference between miracle whip and salad dressing?!

Miracle Whip and salad dressing is the same thing. Miracle Whip just happens to be the Kraft name for salad dressing. There are many different brands of salad dressing that basically taste the same.
It is mayonnaise that has a much different flavor, less sharp to some, more mellow and it allows flavors of other foods to come through and seems to compliment them better in some cases.
If you said Miracle Whip and Mayonnaise, then I would say no. There is a huge difference. Miracle Whip is very sweet.
you are not the only one, I think most people have a preference. I usually rather have mustard ;-)
