I am trying to make hot fudge syrup and the Ingredients are 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup light corn syrup 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1/4 cup evaporated milk 1 1/2 tablespoons butter 1/2 tsp vanilla.

If you want it less sweet and also a smaller amount just reduce all your ingredients. For example: 2 tablespoons sugar, 1/4 cup light corn syrup, 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa, 2 tablespoons evaporated milk (you may sub cream here) 3 teaspoons butter, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla. This reduces your recipe by 1/2 but reduces your sugar to 1/4 the original amount. Enjoy!

It seems that you already have the recipe. What you can do now is to reduce everything by half or by one-quarter (or less) and you should arrive at what you are looking for.

Good luck and happy eating.

just reduce your sugar into 1/4 cup....
