I live in North Western Michigan, USA.
This area is very well known for Cherries, Apples, Asparagus, blueberries, green beans and several other fruits and vegetables. These are some of the more prevalent ones though.
Yes, they are in ample supply in their respective seasons and the locals can get some very good deals at any one of the many road side stands and country stores.
I love seeing fall come because my favorite fruit is fresh, cold, crisp apples. Almost any kind will do, but Honey Crisp is my favorite.
I live in North Alabama:
Strawberries, Asparagus - Spring
Peaches, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Okra, Blackberries, Peas, Lima Beans, Corn, etc., - Summer
Pumpkins, Pecans - Fall
And not produce but all kinds of wild game like, duck, venison, quail and turkey throughout the late fall and winter.
I'm pretty sure that changes depending on your location....
for me in the summer we have lots of tomatoes, zuhccini, summer squash and berries.
in the fall we have a lot of apples (macintosh mainly)
and in the winter its butternut squash, acorn squash and carrots
spring is honey and maple syrup
