Why does Costco not sell french fries at their restaurants?!

Question: Why does Costco not sell french fries at their restaurants?
They do at my store in Canada. I've been to one in Florida and Baltimore and french fries are not on their menu at their lil in-house restaurants.

My guess from being in the restaurant industry in California's massively over-regulated bureaucracy is that a deep-fat fryer requires a very expensive fire suppression system that wouldn't be cost-effective. Also, fries go with burgers; they don't sell those either.
