why is soup classified as food when you drink it ?!

Question: Why is soup classified as food when you drink it ?
random question I know but I'm curious lol x

Answers:

It's not considered a beverage because it has heartier ingredients. That's my guess anyway. Even tomato soup has other ingredients than tomato, usually flour and seasonings.

It would depend on the contents of the soup. Drink thin soups and bouillons served in cups. Chunky soup would be eaten where as broth would be drunk too.

because you use a spoon with it
you put it in a bowl not a cup or glass
its not sweet and definetly can feel filled after having it ..lol :D :D :D

I use a spoon to eat the soup.

I'm not sure, but I think because it was all the nutrients to sustain you till next lunch.

That would be considered broth.=0

i no it freaks me out
