>I love ginger ale and have been drinking it for over 50 years now. Unfortunately, good ginger ale is not made in the United States. The best I ever had was when visiting Malaysia where I had Tiger Balm Ginger Ale - it was made the old fashioned British way and it was HOT and almost burned the mouth drinking it, leaving a warm, tingly sensation down the throat, it really was good! Ginger contains Gingerol which is the active main chemical in ginger and it has some antibiotic properties to it. I make ginger tea at home when I am sick and have a sore throat from a cold or flu, and it helps to prevent a sore throat or to heal one.

As long as the ginger ale is made with real ginger then it has been purported to be used as a home remedy in the prevention or alleviation of motion sickness, to relieve upset stomachs and to soothe coughs and sore throats. If it contains high levels of sugar, it can cause an osmotic shift that can affect the bowels more than the desired effect of the ginger.

It's good for an upset stomach. Otherwise it's no better than any other soda. You shouldn't drink it every day.

good for the bladder.
