Is this considered cannibalism?!

Question: Is this considered cannibalism?
Say you ate some meat but you didn't know it was human flesh...like in Sweeney Todd or the meat factories in the early 1900s...would you be considered a cannibal even though it wasn't intentional?

Yes you would be considered a cannibal.

Well I would personally, not eat meat that I wasn't sure of the origin. BUT if you were to, you still ate human remains. So theoretically you definitely would be a cannibal. However, since you didn't kill the person, nor prepare the food, and least of all had the awareness- the repercussions would be seriously minimal. The only bad thing would be if you liked it. Even that would be tolerable if you didn't mind never eating it again.

Yes. A cannibal is a person who eats human flesh. It doesn't matter if you intended to, you still did. So all those greedy eaters of pie have consumed human flesh and therefore are cannibals, and the fact that found it so good is icing on the cake. Like, maybe they wanted, secretly, to eat human.

ALSO: Jordaninwonderland, that was Criminal Minds. I thought that was a good way to end it. "God is in all of us...so is Tracey Lambert"

probably not? uh...it depends on who you are. for instance, i would think a person who did that was innocent but would advise them to throw up or something cause thats NASTY. however, some people might take that as a horrible thing and shun them. technically, you dont even know if youve eaten people. i know of someone who once ate a cat at a chinese restaraunt beacuse the chef was twisted and cooked a cat instead of chicken. that just as well could be a person is some other situation.
dont worry about it.
anything unintentional is innocent..
its all fiction anywho.

Yes, it is considered cannibalism, because it doesnt matter whether you knew or not, the fact that you ate human flesh makes it cannibalism. it wouldnt make you a bad person, though, i think theres a CSI episode where that happens.

Yes it would. But you certainly wouldn't go to Hell or even affect your Karma because you didn't know.

Yes and you could go to hell for that. Consult your nearest bible scholar for more details.

Yes because you should have checked first. unless you are sure it wasn't ham because that is what i have heard we taste of.

Yes.
