It depends on the company. I think it would mail okay because it is so cold right now. If it were in the summer I would send it more immediately.

Well, this is probably not going to help you, but if there anyplace on the candy box or bag that shows an expiration date? If it is expensive candy, ask the establishment you purchased it from. Candy is shipped all the time. I'd want it to arrive fresh also!!! The only time candy typically melts is the summer months, and that can get tricky. I know a candle shop, for example, that doesn't ship to the desert cities in the summer because a delivered box left out front could have its contents negatively affected by 100 degree weather. Sending candy is a lovely gesture!

Amazingly, chocolate is one of the only foods in the world that can last forever. It never goes stale, or bad. If it turns "bad" it has picked up some extra objects or moisture. If you are worried at all, before you send it place it in the fridge to get hard and cold before you mail it. I've sent chocolate to my boyfriend for Valentines Day before and he got it in 100% good shape, not an embarassing mess!

It will be safe in regard to the age fact and as a rule it will not melt unless it is a really hot area for several days.

I have had chocolate products sent to me from the US with no problems.

It should be fine. Don't worry. Ive sent chocolate to Afghan solders before. It was fine.

it can last indefinitely

trust me it will last..i shipped some out from the USA to INDIA and it was perfect
