How can i buy food in bulk in the uk?!

Question: How can i buy food in bulk in the uk?
I am aware of Costco, Makro and Bookers who sell food in bulk, but to join you need to provide either business or charity information. I am simply an individual trying to get this stuff for personal consumption.

Is there any way around this? Or are there any places where I can buy food, not necessarily in 'bulk', but just larger-than-usual quantities, unbranded, for cheap?

Answers:

Many health food stores sell in bulk, you can check your telephone book ad pages
Also Amazon sells in bulk and often has free shipping on the internet

Individuals can join Macro or Costco if they work in certain professions like the NHS, Police, fire service or civil service. Apparently you need to take in 3 payslips. Perhaps you or another householder does. See their website for more info. Also if it is just for you, remember that a lot of food loses quality over time, even stuff like Rice and pasta, so you may not really benefit from buying in large quanties. I buy stuff at Booker (for a catering business) but don't really find it cheaper than say Aldi, it just comes in handy larger quantities.

If you haven't already, look into Costco a little further: neither my parents work for the professions somebody else listed in their answer yet they have a membership.
