So that nutmeg doesn't taste bad? Hm. Eggnog. But eggnog's pretty good to begin with.

Just use a sprinkle at a time. It has a very strong flavour and is usually used as a sort of "decoration" on top of custard, nog, and other sweet things. Go easy. A tiny pinch is plenty.

Or substitute cinnamon. Most people prefer it anyway.

Use nutmeg judiciously. Many people use too much. Keep quantities to less than 1/4 teaspoon (measure 1/4 teaspoon and sprinkle it on a plate and divide the amount in half)
