Question: What desserts are popular on the US NE coast?

So I'm writing a lunch menu for menu planning class (I'm in culinary school), and I ended up doing something seafood based. I'm now stuck on the dessert section. What desserts are popular on the NE coast? Did any desserts originate from there? What kind of desserts are good for seafood menus?

The popular old standbys are Apple Pie, Blueberry Pie, Blueberry Cake, Indian Pudding, Grapenut Custard, Bread Pudding, Molasses cookies, Whoopie Pies. Blueberry cake is traditional at clambakes. Hope that helps!
