What is a good substitute for Vegtable Oil?!

Question: What is a good substitute for Vegtable Oil?
I'm wanting to bake some Betty Crocker brownies and the recipe requires that I use 1/3rd cup Vegetable Oil. I went to go and grab the Vegetable Oil, and found that I have no Vegetable Oil.
So, I need a really good substitution for Vegetable oil.

I have Olive oil, canola oil, and extra virgin olive oil.

If anybody has a good substitution, I would be most gratefull if you would tell me. :)

Thanks!

canola oil, no one wants baked good to taste like olives unless it's olive loaf.

There's basically no difference between canola oil and vegetable oil for cooking. They are both basically flavorless. You can also use safflower oil or corn oil the same way. Peanut oil has a little more flavor, but you could use that, too. Olive oil has more flavor still. You can usually taste it in whatever you cook, so it's not a good substitute unless you really want to add some olive flavor.

Any of those oils will work fine. I would choose the canola oil myself, since it's especially good for baking. Olive oil has a lot of health benefits when you use it at room temperature or barely warm. Once it is used as a cooking oil, it's just like any other oil as far as "benefits." Did you know that you can also substitute applesauce or other pureed fruit for the oil in brownies or cakes?

Brownies is the easiest thing to substitute. I don't know if you've heard of no-pudge brownies, but they're low fat brownies and taste REALLY GOOD. Anyways, they use yogurt, or diet coke(any type of soda), or applesauce as the the substitute. It sounds weird but it works and you cant taste it in the brownies. It just makes them lower fat but still chocolaty. So if you have any of those that would work.

Canola: for 1/3 cup it is way cheaper than olive oil, plus olive oil is better used to sear meats or cook things in a frying pan. In baking it adds an odd taste, as it is very nutty.

CANOLA OIL. CANOLA OIL. CANOLA OIL ... IS THE BEST SUBTITUTE FOR VEGETABLE OIL ... G'LUCK !!! Shaun
