Does a Styrofoam, Cardboard, or Plastic carton protect eggs better?!
Answers:
I prefer to purchase cardboard or plastic that can be re-cycled. I make all attempts to not buy styrofoam for environmental reasons. I'm not really concerned with protection of the eggs. I check them at the market and am careful until I get home and then I put them into a plastic egg tray in my refrigerator.
I have a plastic egg container that I use for my eggs. It was designed to be taken camping so that the eggs won't break. It works much better than cardboard or styrofoam. It keeps my eggs from freezing and getting smashed in the fridge.
